Battle for Manchuria 1945

We had quick intense fight last Monday.  The Soviet invasion of Manchuria 1945,  using Cross-Fire rules with 15mm troops and vehicles.  The area of battle was divided into areas of operation.  Each area had  was a one on one battle, with the Soviet players trying for breakthroughs and the Japanese players holding to the last.  The Japanese had a Tank squad on each board and all sides had various support teams.  Starting after about an hour of combat Soviets started getting T-34/85’s as  reinforcements.  This put the nail in the coffin,  it was the only thing I had left pretty much,  so to speak.  Great game we had 2 new guys, fun was had by all!

Japanese Defender. The battle was one house to house battle after another.

Soviet 45mm atg. Most of these never survived to get a shot off. Only a desperate charge by the Lt and his last squad saved my position form Japanese armor!
