The Battle Before Prague.
The Spanish – French army is moving on Prague. The Saxon – Savoyard army sees a chance to fight a blocking battle, giving the rest of the army a chance to get Prague ready for a siege. This was a battle fought with KoenigKrieg rules using 15mm figures. The Saxon – Savoyard Army is outnumber about 3 to 2 but have a strong defense with fortifications. We have a huge Cavalry battle and Infantry fur ball in center. The dice of shame is rolled and Field Marshell Todd makes it…the Saxon- Savoyard army after a mighty defense will be forced to retreat. Great times, great fight, we need to do at least 2 more turns but time was done.
The Adversaries … French Grenadiers
The Thunder … Saxon Cavalry heavies, dragoons and hussars
The Cavalry fur ball. The heavies here saved the center of the line for a moment, but did not decide the battle.
The first assault. It was give and take here but there wold be no Saxon or Savoyard reserves
The approach on the Savoyard far right flank. General Mark was total focused on the heights in front of him. All he needed was patience, which had aplenty. Courage would not be enough here.
Irish fierceness failed on this day as the Savoyard troops charged over their own redoubts and routed all in front of them!
For Spain the Bourbon Monarchies! Spanish Infantry advance
