News & Notes Regarding Back Issue Activity at the Source!
Welcome to Tim’s Corner, Sometimes when I read comics, I think, if all the stuff that happens to comic book characters in what appears to be short periods of time and month after month, would happen to a regular person, they would go insane. Peter Parker should be bouncing off the walls. Then I watch the news and read what happens to people in the world, and there are people that deal with challenges and tragedies day after day and persevere. I wish everyone going through personal challenges and tragedies well. Enough serious stuff, time to get down to the serious stuff: comic books. From collections we have several issues of the Classics Illustrated series that First comics put out a number of years ago. Also, some early issues of the JLA title, Marvel Super Hero Secret
Wars, early issues of Marvel Team up vol 1, a number of issues of the Marvel Star Wars title, and finally some issues of Thor in the late 200’s. Also the usual packs, and recent comics made their way out to the floor. In the words of Stan Lee, Excelsior!

Yet this card game is titled Zombie Ninja Pirates (2-6 players, ages 13+, 20-30 minutes, $18) Why no love for the scientists, Duhan?! Zombie Ninja Pirates includes three kinds of cards: types, actions and objects. Actions let you do something and are then discarded, while objects are played on the table and can be used in later turns. The four types – zombies, ninjas, pirates and mad scientists – are worth five points each, but can be played only with an appropriate action or object card. Play a “Bite” action, for example, and you can lay down a zombie type at the same time to become a zombie. You can have any combination of types in front of you; object cards related to a type are worth 0 points if you lack that type and some amount of positive or negative points otherwise. “Constant Moaning” is naturally a plus if you’re a zombie and a drawback for the ninjas among us.
